So, George rang this morning.
It was his 40th on Saturday which we all celebrated over chocolate cake and wine as we finished setting up his big party on Friday night.

“How did it go?” I said.
He paused.

Last year we decided to work out, once and for all, definitively and unquestionably, the answer to a question that we are asked almost every week…
“Just how many people can eat in a 21ft yurt?”
For the answer we had to go Continue reading ‘Nights at the Roundtable - or how to fill your yurt!’
Sometimes you find a magical spot and you think, ‘that might be useful someday’.
Well, this is one of those spots and one of those days. Continue reading ‘White Wedding in the wild’

Sorry to go on about the website (!) but with the new design has come a package of statistical tools.
The great thing about them is they show the growing worldwide appeal of the venerable yurt.

We now have visitors from France to Finland and Israel to Iceland not to mention Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
So a big warm welcome to all of you - from wherever you are!
The new, much more colourful, website is proving to be a great success - the viewing figures have more than doubled and it’s still not the end of the month!

We’re really happy because we all put a lot of work into the new site so that’’s great.
It’s also meant lots of people have got in touch and we have a whole raft of new bookings for 2008.
So welcome and thank you to all the people who are joining the Simply Yurts family!
So despite a freezing rainy winter putting up tents in icy cold weather we still found some time to look at our poor little website.
And here’s the result - www.simplyyurts.co.uk
We’re really happy with it and we think it gives an even better idea of what happens when you hire a yurt from us.
It also means lots more pages over the coming months - a new blog, a bigger gallery and eventually some little films.
So it’s all good
Roll on 2008!
With Christmas and the New Year already drifting off into the distance
now’s the time to think about the coming year…

Do you have a special occasion to look forward to?
A wedding? a 50th birthday party with extra space for a sleepover? or a super romantic evening for two? Maybe even all of them. So, for this year’s resolution…
Say No to boring marquee hire,
Don’t Plump for the bog standard,
Walk Away from the overbooked and the overtired…
