We had to find a way of seating 100 people plus into a yurt without losing the cosy, intimate, all embracing essence of what makes a yurt a yurt.
There were options. Bigger yurts, Rackety old 6-bay multi yurts, or draughty great pavilion yurts - they were all too tall, too empty and too lacking in atmosphere.
So we came up with a new concept - the long yurt. A kind of 2-in-1 yurt, a super yurt, a stretched limo of a yurt.
The kind of yurt you would drive to a film premiere in! We call it the Mongolian Marquee...
We're still not sure what our friends in Ulaanbataar think of it - although it's certain they'll tell us!
